TCE began providing services to the World Bank in 2006. At the southeast corner of the main building, TCE examined and provided waterproofing design where demolition damage occurred at waterproofed structural slab beneath sidewalk. Repair recommendations were provided for damaged concrete. Provided waterproofing design and inspection of waterproofed penetrations through foundation walls for vehicle impact attenuation system designed by EDAW at main World Bank Building, Building H, and 2121 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW; examined and provided waterproofing design and inspection of replacement of damaged (during excavation) plaza waterproofing at entrance to Building H; examined and provided waterproofing design and inspection of replacement waterproofing in planters at Building H and garage repairs to Main Complex, garages D and E. TCE examined and provided waterproofing base flashing repair at sidewalks abutting planters; recommended specific water testing procedures to determine recommendations for waterproofing repair; provided recommendation to X-ray or GPR (ground penetrating radar) planter slabs for drain installations as the slab are post-tensioned, to assure new drains “missed” existing post-tension, thus avoiding damage; and provided quality assurance inspection services for various portions of the work as specifically requested.
