Eyoel Amente joined Tadjer-Cohen-Edelson Associates, Inc. in 2004, and is a project manager in the firm. He previously worked for Savior Consult in Ethiopia as Assistant Manager/Structural Engineer.
Eyoel is involved in the design and renovation of many project types; including residential, high-rise, mixed-use, schools and universities, hospitals, bridges, commercial, industrial, civil, reservoirs, hotels, garages, office buildings, and interior renovations. He has experience in various building materials such as reinforced concrete, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel and wood construction. He has experience in specialized analysis and design to prevent progressive collapse in new and existing buildings as well as for seismic and wind forces.
His job responsibilities include structural analysis and design, analysis for blast and progressive collapse, investigation and evaluation of existing structures for renovation and conversion to other uses, and upgrading of existing structures. Eyoel has extensive experience in the use of major structural engineering software for both analysis and design.
