1919 Pennsylvania Avenue is an office building in downtown Washington, DC constructed around 1977. The building has 9 above grade levels, over a subgrade parking structure which also contained electrical rooms. Prolonged leakage through the plaza deck into the subgrade structure resulting in water damage to vehicles and utility components below. A waterproofing program was implemented to address leakage. The work involved removing all the topping elements to expose the membrane, replacing of the membrane including expansion joints. Repairs were completed in fall of 2015.
