Leaks had been occurring into the building, especially during Hurricane Sandy. Intrusive investigation revealed very poor flashing installation causing the leaks. The main purpose of the project was completely replace the flashing at each floor. Other repairs performed included replacement of cracked brick, tuckpointing of deteriorated mortar joints, repairing spalled concrete, and replacement of facade caulk. The building remained occupied during the repair process.
