Project Overview

Structural engineering for the adaptive reuse of the historic Hecht Warehouse at 1401 New York Avenue. Scope included complete lateral analysis of the remaining structure after floor slab modifications, coordination of new slab openings for residential systems, loading dock modifications, rooftop mechanical dunnage, and alternates for rooftop amenity space, new elevator and stair shafts. TCE provided the structural design enabling this complex conversion of a historic warehouse into residential use.
