Project Overview
A five-story residential addition above the existing building at 4600 Wisconsin Avenue (Babe’s). Phase I included a structural study evaluating five framing options (concrete flat slab, composite structural steel, wood, Hambro, and Epicore). Phase II design assumed a concrete flat slab with columns matching the existing retail structure below. Selective demolition and existing structure analysis were required due to unavailable original drawings. TCE provided the complete structural engineering for this complex vertical addition.Structural Highlights
