Varinder joined Tadjer Cohen Edelson Associates, Inc., then known as Tadjer Cohen Associates, in 1974. He is a principal in the firm and involved in all facets of designing and renovating commercial, educational, institutional, industrial, garages, high-rise buildings such as large hotels, apartments, and office buildings. These designs utilize structural steel, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete and wood.

Varinder provides expert structural analysis and design, investigation, evaluation and upgrading of existing structures for renovation and conversion to other uses, and monitoring of inspection services.
